Day 1 Mombasa to Tsavo West

Depart early from your coastal hotel in Mombasa or Diani and drive via the Mombasa Nairobi Highway to Tsavo West National Park.

Enter the park through Tsavo River Gate and begin game viewing along the palm ringed Tsavo River, home to hippos and crocodiles.

Lunch at Ngulia Safari Lodge.

In the afternoon, visit the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary in search of the rare black rhino.

Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena, Rhino Valley Lodge or similar.

Day 2 Tsavo West to Amboseli

After breakfast, proceed to the famous Mzima Springs, where crystal clear water flows from the Chyulu Hills lava creating scenic pools filled with hippos and crocodiles.

Drive out of Tsavo West via the Shetani Lava Flows and continue to Amboseli National Park.

Arrive in time for lunch at Oltukai Lodge or Amboseli Serena Lodge.

In the afternoon, enjoy game drives in Amboseli with the dramatic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro while searching for lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, rhinos and elephants. Plenty of plains game will also be seen.

Dinner and overnight at Oltukai Lodge or Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Day 3 Amboseli to Taita Hills Salt Lick

After breakfast, enjoy a short game drive while exiting Amboseli National Park and proceed to Taita Hills Sanctuary.

Arrive for lunch and leisure at the lodge.

In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in the Salt Lick Wildlife Sanctuary, famous for its lion prides. Other wildlife commonly seen includes elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons, warthogs and waterbucks.

Dinner and overnight at Sarova Salt Lick Safari Lodge.

Day 4 Salt Lick to Mombasa

After an early breakfast, enjoy a final game drive as you exit the sanctuary.

Before midday, stop for lunch at Lion Hill Camp or in Voi town.

After lunch, proceed back to Mombasa, arriving in the afternoon at your coastal hotel.
