Day by Day
Early morning pick up from your hotel in Diani Beach or South Coast at around 07.30 hrs. Drive through scenic countryside filled with coconut palms and cashew nut farms towards Funzi Island, located about 35 km south of Diani.
On arrival, board a boat for an adventure filled cruise through the beautiful mangrove forests. Navigate the meandering Ramisi River estuary, a natural habitat for crocodiles, rare bird species, and other wildlife. Your guide will share information about the ecosystem and local communities.
You will stop at a picturesque sandbank across the bay where you can take a leisurely walk, swim in the warm Indian Ocean waters, relax on the white sands, or visit the nearby Funzi Village to experience traditional Swahili life.
After the excursion, proceed to Funzi Mangrove Resort for a delicious seafood lunch served in a genuine Swahili house, offering an authentic coastal dining experience. Vegetarian options are also available on request.
In the afternoon, return by boat to the mainland at around 16.00 hrs, then drive back to your hotel, arriving at approximately 17.00 hrs.
